http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/mygroups
Email: Montreal_Hi_Tech_Network@yahoogroups.ca
A group of people from High Tech companies who have been laid off and want to network on how to get jobs, where the jobs are, for support, ....
They normally meet weekly. See below for detail information. Contact them via Nortel Networks Alumni Forum or HireTopTalent-Montreal Community to confirm the date and time of their meetings or to join in their on-line discussions.
Weekly Meeting
Date: Thursday
Time: 1:30PM - 3:30PM EST (GMT-05:00)
Location: Tim Hortons - 2850 boul Laurentien
To get there by car:
Follow Decarie North. Stay in lane 2 of 4, as you approach the Metropolitain.
Go under the Metropolitain and THEN make a gentle LEFT to Marcel - Laurin (formerly Laurentien). (If you miss this, make a left at any traffic light off Decarie and right onto Marcel Laurin.) Stay on Marcel - Laurin or Laurentien north, past the Bombardier/Canadair plant. Soon after the plant, you will go down under train tracks, get into the left lane.
At the FIRST light after the train tracks, turn LEFT into Tim Hortons. (If you miss this, you can make a left at the next light and still get into the Tim Hortons parking lot.) If you end up in Laval, you've gone too far.
By bus:
Keller bus 170 departs from the Cote Vertu Metro station about 20m North of the Decarie entrance opposite Norgate Shopping Center at 1:09, 1:36, 2:05, and 2:33PM. Schedule and map at: (http://www.stm.info/English/bus/planibus/170.pdf).
Also bus 164 from Henri Bourassa metro.
Take either to the first stop on Keller at Laurentien - you should see Tim's to the left of the bus at that corner. Also, close to Bois Franc Train.

Company Contact & Members Profile Lists:
The Montreal Hi Tech Network Group offers an extensive list of contacts at companies complete with addresses and phone numbers.
Profiles of most members are also available, providing insight about their experience and expectations. This information resides in a database, provided you have registered for an email account and have subscribed to the Montreal Hi Tech Network group for membership.
Appended below is a list of instructions to quickly and painlessly access the database and enter your profile. Read how members have chosen to describe themselves.
